VEGAN CHOCO-SPREAD

Do you have a sweet tooth like me? I heart chocolate so much. Even as a little girl I emptied the candy cabinet of my family. But over the years I realized that refined sugar is bad for my body and my mind. Now I use the great substitutions: maple sirup, agave sirup, coconut sugar or xylitol.

Here is a recipe that I made while nursing Gion Luis. It’s super yummy, gives you energy and easy to make. All you need: a good blender. I use the nutribullet.

Here we go…


ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS


  • Cup of Cashew nuts – soaked in water over night

  • 1 dl almond milk (or whatever milk substitute you want)

  • 1-2 tbsp maple sirup (or any other natural sweetener)

  • 2 tbsp Cacaopowder

  • a pinch Vanilla Bourbon Powder

Strain the nuts and throw away the water. Put everything in a blender/mixer or nutribullet and mix until you get a smooth paste. Put the spread in a small, nice glass with lid and enjoy a natural, healthy and homemade choco treat. Keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days.   Tip: If you put more liquid in the spread-mix, you can even make a chocolate mousse. Which is so yummy!
